This makes it easy to spot reading profiles, strengths and students who need extra support or challenge, which supports planning and follow-up directly in the portal. This is the new Group Overview Chart that shows each student's average reading speed alongside their percentage of correct answers. Students with similar results appear close together. You can use this chart to see how speed and  comprehension relate, to spot students with similar reading profiles and find out who needs extra support or more challenge. The Group Overview supports reflection, planning and follow-up directly in the Lexplore portal. ### How to read the chart - **Horizontal axis:** average reading speed in words per minute. Further right means faster reading. - **Vertical axis:** percentage of correct answers, which measures  comprehension. Higher up means better understanding. - **Each circle is a** student marked with their initials. - **Outlined circles with a number (2 or 3)** mean that several students have almost the same results and overlap. #### What each position suggests | **Position** | **What it suggests** | **Example in this chart** | | --- | --- | --- | | Upper right | Reads fast with good comprehension | WS (about 230 words/min, about 92%) | | Upper left | Understands well but reads slowly; may benefit from fluency practice | MH (about 70 words/min, about 75%) | | Lower right | Reads fast but with weaker comprehension; may be rushing or skimming | WT (about 330 words/min, about 50%) | | Lower left | Slower reading and weak language comprehension; may need the most support. | RA (about 90 words/min, about 50%) | ![Screenshot 2026-05-28 at 15.46.19](https://info.lexplore.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-05-28%20at%2015.46.19.png?width=670&height=332&name=Screenshot%202026-05-28%20at%2015.46.19.png) #### What this particular group shows - Most students form a cluster at about 110–180 words per minute with 60–90% correct. That is the group’s typical range. - A few students stand out from the cluster: - MH and RA read slower than the rest. - AA has the lowest comprehension, about 33%, at an average speed. - WT reads very fast, but comprehension is only about 50%. - WS and two other students combine high speed with high accuracy, so they may be ready for more challenge. ###### Using the overview in your teaching ###### You can use the Group Overview as a starting point for planning. Students with similar profiles can work on the same skills together, while those who stand out may benefit from individual follow-up.
