The microphone settings are handled differently by each laptop/PC manufacturer. Some have a keyboard key to turn the microphone on and off, while others require you to go through the Windows settings. Here are three different settings you can try changing which are found in microphone properties.  Example 1.  1. Click on ‘Microphone Settings’. 2. Select the ’Recordings’ tab. Highlight the microphone you are using and click ’Properties’. 3. Go to the ’Levels’ tab. 4. Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab. 2.
