What should I do if word per minute is above the limit?

"The reading speed is unusually high, please review the recording and confirm that the pupil read the whole text."

If the above message appears on a pupil profile, review the recordings and check that the pupil read both texts in full and that the Examiner did not end the recording too quickly.

This message can appear due to a number of factors:

  1. The pupil read the text unusually fast. Do nothing
  2. The pupil only read part of the text. Delete and retest
  3. The Examiner ended the recording before the pupil had finished reading the text. Delete and retest

If the pupil read the text in full and they just happen to be a quick reader, you don't need to take any action.

If the pupil only read part of the text or if the Examiner ended the test before the pupil had finished reading the text in full, please delete the recordings and retest.
