Product Updates - August 2026

This release introduces a new way to explore results on group level through the new Group Overview. The feature helps teachers and schools gain a clearer understanding of pupils’ reading speed and reading comprehension.

 

New: Assessment periods

Several of you have asked to see assessment periods in your export and API data. You can now organise your screenings into periods to more easily follow and compare pupils' reading development over time — and this also carries through into both file exports and the Reporting API.

Assessment periods are opt-in and become visible as soon as an organisation or school starts adding periods themselves.

Security update: MFA verification now sent by email

We've changed our multi-factor authentication (MFA) from SMS to email verification. When logging in with a Lexplore account, users will now receive their verification code by email instead of SMS.

Users who sign in through another system (SSO) are not affected by this change.

We're continuously working to make Lexplore safer, smarter and easier to use for schools and pupils alike 💙
