Recommend fluency practice to your students

You can recommend fluency practice to your pupils from two places in the Lexplore portal; from the library and on each student's profile, where you can also see what reading fluency practice is recommended by both a teacher and by Lexplore.

This guide aims to describe how you can recommend/assign fluency practice from either the student profile or the Lexplore library.

Recommend Fluency Practice from Student's profile

1. In the Lexplore portal, and from the classlist, click the pupil you wish to recommend/assign fluency practice to.
2. On the pupil's profile page for their overall activity (reading and assessment) click on "RECOMMEND FLUENCY PRACTICE". (see example image below)
   
3. In the fluency practice pop-up, please select the boxes for the practices you wish to pursue. You can select either one or multiple practices for each student.
   

4. When you are happy with your selection, remember to click "SAVE" to add the content to the student's practice list in their Reading App.

Recommend Fluency Practice from "LIBRARY" 

• When logged into Lexplore Portal click the upper menu for "LIBRARY".
  
• This is Lexplore library where all literature books and all fluency practice books are gathered. Click the tab 'Fluency Practice'
  
• If you wish to sort on Reading Ability you click 'Sort and Filter'.
• The lists available for digital recommendation have the button "READ" in the bottom right corner, but if you hover over the list, there is also a clickable box in the upper right corner. Click the boxes on the fluency practices you like to recommend. You can click one or multiple.
  
• When you are happy with your choice, scroll up and click 'RECOMMEND BOOKS'.
  
• In the following pop-up named "Recommend books" you can do the following:
  • Filter on school and class if you have access to more than one class or school.
  • Select one or more students.
  • Facilitate the distribution of the fluency practice by clicking the title "READING ABILITY" to sort and group the list. 
• Click "SAVE" when done and the fluency will be added to the students Recommendations in their reading app.
