Pupils assessed on another level are now included in statistics

In August we released the possibility to assess pupils on other levels than their actual year groups level. This was launched to be able to assess the pupils that can read but not yet on the level of their year group, but also to assess pupils with strong reading skills towards higher grades. Up until now, the assessments made on another level have been excluded from the statistics.

After feedback from you guys, we are now launching a change that will include the pupils that have only been assessed at a lower level in the statistics. These pupils will be placed in a new group called "Reading below the year group level". This group will be indicated with the purple dashed line, same as the way we indicate assessments conducted at another level.

This is how the statistics now will look, when some pupils only have been assessed at a lower level.

Please note:

  • Pupils that have only been assessed at a higher level are still not included in the statistics. This is because we always recommend to assess pupils on their actual level when possible, and pupils that can read above their level should also be able to read on their level.
  • The group "Reading below the year group level" only include pupils that haven't been assessed in their actual year group. If a pupil has a result on their normal level, that result is the one that will be included in the statistics, including "Emergent reader" results. If you have marked pupils as emergent readers with the only reason to include them in the statistics, you can now delete that result and they will instead be included in the "Reading below the year group level" group.

The pupil report has moved and now include results from other levels

The PDF report that can be generated with pupils' results have moved from the assessment detail view to the pupil view since the report consist of all the pupils results. Also, the report now also include results from assessments made on another level. Those results are indicated with the purple dotted line.

This is where you now find the PDF report of pupils' assessment results:
