Checklist for assessment

If you have checked all these steps in your assessments, you have followed Lexplore’s guidelines and will obtain reliable results.

Checklist

  • Were both recordings stopped as soon as the pupil read the last word in the texts?

  • Does the pupil read each text only once?

  • Did the student get the instructions before starting the recording?

  • Can you hear the student clearly when listening to the recordings? Is the audio quality good?

  • If something unexpected happened, did you stop the recording and redo it?

  • Did you help the student after 5 seconds if they got stuck?

  • Did you allow the student to try to read the text as independently as possible?

  • When listening to the recording and reviewing the student’s answers to the questions, did you mark on of the correct answers when the student gave a correct answer?
    Reading comprehension questions: Remember that the student only needs to answer one of the suggested correct options correctly.
