Checklist - the mission of different roles

All school staff are needed in the work with Lexplore. Of course, this means that everyone has an important role to play in pupils' reading development. To provide clarity, we've put together a checklist detailing each role and its associated respons

Steering group 

  • Set direction and goals for the organisation regarding Lexplore 
  • Create annual Lexplore cycle including assess plan and reading activities  
  • Follow-up plan and communication plan for all groups involved  
  • Follow up results centrally  
  • Plan actions ahead and evaluate actions 

Project Manager 

  • Contact person for Lexplore  
  • Schedule a kick-off meeting with the steering group for the introduction of Lexplore and overall planning for the organisation  
  • Organise start-up meeting together with Lexplore for principals and ambassadors where Lexplore's service is introduced  
  • Project manage communication about Lexplore internally  
  • Book ambassador meetings during the school year  
  • Coordinate information regarding the implementation and the continued reading development work  
  • Follow up the results in scheduled performance reviews  
  • Support pedagogical support internally  
  • Possibly. Organise a special education network for information about Lexplore 

 

Ambassador 

  • Responsible for the implementation of Lexplore at the school  
  • Is the contact person for the project manager at the Head Teacher and Lexplore  
  • Ensure that termly planning for assess and reading interventions is prepared and maintained  
  • Inform the principal about the progress of the work  
  • Conduct discussion meetings/workshops with colleagues regarding insights and analysisβ€―  
  • Conduct discussion/workshop with colleagues on reading interventions  
  • Take part in the three ambassador training programmes  
  • Attend the ambassador meetings organised by the project manager  
  • Inform and support colleagues to carry out training programmes in Lexplore, and take part in them yourself  
  • Take part in the emails sent by Lexplore  
  • Invite those who will become examiners 

 

Head Teacher 

  • Plan and organise induction meetings at the start of each school year  
  • Appoint ambassadors and appoint new ones if someone leaves  
  • Appoint those who will carry out the screening.β€―The most important thing is that the screener is interested, easy to connect with children and has some experience with computers.  
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the ambassador on the work of Lexplore and reading development.  
  • Set aside time and participate in performance reviews/workshops after the screening periods with the educators.  
  • Give time to examiners and ambassadors.  
  • Inform carers about Lexplore. Feel free to use the PDF that is available.  
  • It is also possible to use a ppt for parent meetings to highlight the importance of reading training and what the home can do.

  • Attend a meeting/workshop on insights and analysis
