Tips to Improve Computer Performance for E-assessment

Simple steps to make sure the assessment runs smoothly

Lexplore’s E-assessment uses the computer’s webcam together with eye-tracking.
For best results, the computer needs to maintain a high and stable frame rate during the session.

Here’s what you can do before starting:

Close other video apps like Zoom or Teams – they can block or slow down the camera.

Close extra programs and tabs – keep only the assessment open.

Use good lighting – make sure the student’s face is well lit.

Plug in the laptop and use “Best Performance” mode instead of battery saver.

Restart the computer to start fresh.

Update your browser (latest Chrome or Edge).

💡 If the computer is still too slow after these steps, please try on another device with a stronger webcam or processor.

And of course – if you’re unsure or run into problems, you’re always welcome to reach out to Lexplore Support. We’re happy to guide you further.
