Here we describe what to do when you can't select an organization and/or school in the Test Application. This is a detailed guide that requires many steps for internal troubleshooting. Therefore, you will need help from School IT.
If your user is set with permission to one organization and one school, these two should be preselected for you when you log in to Lexplore Test application:
Note: If your user has permission to many school within the same organization then only organization is preselected.
When organization and school is not preselected despite your user is tied to only one org and one school we need to understand what the cause is.
Usually it is linked to any of the item below. For #1-3 you can ask Lexplore Support for guidance, and for #4-6 Lexplore Support will refer you to ask your internal IT for support.
Most common in these cases are #5 and/or #6, that here is some internal updates that has made changes to permission level on either laptop/pc or Windows-user. It is important to go through all the steps though to rule out.
- Lexplore portal and students
- Test Application itself
- Lexplore user - permission and authorization
- School Network
- Windows user
- Laptop/Pc
Troubleshooting checklist:
- Lexplore portal and students
-
First, check in the Lexplore Portal if the students you are planning to test have been added/imported. If the students haven't been imported to the Lexplores Portal, the organization they belong to will not appear in the Test Application either. When there are students in Lexplore portal they will be automatically added to the Test App as well. See guide: Student Import

Test Application
- Is your Test app up to date? The Test Application will inform you of updates automatically, but to make sure you have the latest version see guide: Is my Test Application up to date?
- When you have both confirmed that there are students in the Lexplore portal as well as you have the application up to date please log in and out of the test app. If you still see no students there, please refresh/update the Test app. Se image below:
- Lexplore user - permission and authorization
- When you have the role of an examiner or Ambassador you will automatically be granted access to Lexplore.
- School Network
- Make sure your It has updated the Domain Allowlist to allow traffic between Lexplore and the internal network: See list of Domains that need to be allowed
- When domains are up to date, perform an Lexplore Network test and share the outcome with our support: Run a Network Test in Lexplore
- Windows user and 6. Laptop/Pc
- Here Lexplore Support has no insights in the permission levels on the Windows user on your pc/laptop. To find out if anything if permission level deviates from others, you can ask a colleagues for help if you have a colleague that is also a Lexplore Examiner. If you do not have a colleague with Lexplore Examiner access we can create one as long as they have their own laptop and windows user.
- Please ask him/she to log in to the Test App with their user and on their laptop/pc and check if they experience the same thing. Outcome?
- The same colleague to use your laptop/pc and your windows user, but to login on Lexplore Test app with their Lexplore-user. Outcome?
- Have the colleague log in to their laptop and their windows user, but then let you log in to the Lexplore test app with your Lexplore-user. Outcome?
- If you see no deviations here, repeat the same procedure but limit it to the laptop/pc. Meaning use your colleagues PC to log in with your windows user and then access the test app, and have you colleague use your pc and log in with their windows-user and Lexplore user to test app. Outcome?
